India TEC certification
TEC is the abbreviation of Telecommunication Engineering Center. TEC is the Indian agency responsible for telecom product certification. From 1991 to 2019, TEC certification is a voluntary product certification. In 2019, the authorities issued Notioce No. 10-1/2017-IT/TEC/ER, announcing that MTCTE (Mandatory Testing Certification of Telecommunication Equipment) regulations will be gradually introduced in 2019.
TEC (Telecommunication Engineering Center) certification controls the telecommunication equipment connected to the Indian telecommunication network.
Any original equipment manufacturer or importer who wants to sell, import in India or use telecommunication equipment subject to TEC control and audit must obtain TEC certificate from the Telecommunication Engineering Center (TEC India) of the Ministry of Communications of the Government of India.
According to the type of products, TEC divides the products into simplified certification plan SCS products and general certification plan GCS products.
The applicant needs to submit the test report and DoC issued by the laboratory designated by TEC or recognized by ILAC, and the issue time of the report cannot exceed 2 years.
The applicant pays the application fee, and then the laboratory designated or recognized by TEC tests the samples. The test report is submitted to TEC, and the certificate will be issued after passing the review.
